Application Descriptions

  • Beverage Deaeration: Processes run at vacuum to lower the concentration of dissolved gasses in a process stream
  • Freeze Drying: Vacuum is used to lower the pressure in a chamber allowing the ice to sublime out of the product
  • Sugar Maple Syrup Collection: Vacuum is used to facilitate the draining of syrup from the trees
  • Unloading of Fish from Barges: Fishing vessels use liquid ring pumps to help unload the fish from the ships
  • Vacuum Cooking: Low temperature cooking can take place at low pressures.
  • Vacuum Drying/Conditioning: Drying can be achieved at lower temperatures and energy costs when completed under vacuum
  • Vacuum Flash Cooling: In some food related processes it is important to quickly cool a product after it has cooked. This is accomplished by pulling vacuum and quickly evaporating water to cool the product.
  • Vacuum Evisceration: Used in slaughterhouses
  • Vacuum Filling and Packaging: Packages and bottles are evacuated prior to filling to facilitating the fill process
